What we do

A crowd estimate for 26 hill towns and treks in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, for today and for each of the next six weekends.
For every crowded town, a quieter twin within about two hours — the same hills, far fewer people.
Seven days of mountain weather on every town page.
One-tap crowd reports from travellers who are there, shown beside our estimate.

How we work it out

From the festival and holiday calendar, live mountain weather, the heat in the plains, how much crowd each town can absorb, and reports from travellers. The full method is open: how RushCheck works. Before every big weekend we publish our forecast, and afterwards we check it against what was reported — misses included: did RushCheck get it right?

Who is behind it

RushCheck is a small, independent project run from India. No tourism board, hotel, travel company or advertiser owns it.

Our rules

Nobody can pay to change a crowd score.
No account, no name, no phone number. Reports are anonymous.
Every score says how it was worked out and how fresh it is.
Forecasts are labelled as forecasts.
